Come along and make things, friendships, and your own story.

For everyone aged 16+ who identifies as female and lives in Sherburn or its surrounding villages.

Old Girls’ School

Join artists Sally Wright and Hafifa Ahmed to connect, chat, meet new people, get creative, share skills – and food, if you like!

Sally and Hafifa will run creative workshops, making textiles, painting, and more. As the group grows, you will decide which direction you want it to go.

No experience needed – you don’t need to feel ‘skilled’ at something to join!

You’ll also have the chance to display what you make at Now Then! Festival Sherburn on Sunday, 14 June 2026.

These workshops are for women aged 16+. If childcare is tricky, you’re very welcome to bring your children along with you. We just ask that they stay with you and remain your responsibility during the session. You’re welcome to bring something to keep them occupied. We’ll have a small selection of toys and craft materials available (but these may not suit all ages).
