Willow Trug Workshop. 22nd February 2026. 9.30 to 16.30

Venue: The Old Girls’ School, 18 Kirkgate, Sherburn in Elmet LS25 6BL

Suitable for beginners. In this workshop you will learn the basics of basketry and make your very own trug from scratch. This is a rectangular basket that is used for many things but mainly a traditional flower/vegetable gathering basket.

I will provide all the tools and you will need for the day, all you need to bring is a packed lunch.

This workshop is suitable for people looking to have a go at willow basketry or to improve their willow skills, it is not suitable for people with arthritis in their hands.
