Willow Handbag Workshop. 9th February 2025, 09.30 to 16.30

Venue: The Old Girls’ School, 18 Kirkgate, Sherburn in Elmet LS25 6BL

Suitable for beginners. During this willow handbag workshop you will make a beautiful and useful willow handbag. They are ideal for local shopping, sandwiches, an accessory bag for ‘stuff’ or simply a peg basket!

You will learn the basics of square basketry and the traditional ways in which to make one. I will provide all the tools, materials and light refreshments/snack’s, you only need to bring a lunch.

This workshop is suitable for people looking to have a go at willow basketry or to improve their willow skills, it is not suitable for people with arthritis in their hands.
