When we want to escape, we turn on the telly. We flick through the channels, searching for stories of wonder – but wonder isn’t something that we import from America. It’s already here, where we live – because the best stories are our own.

For one night only, writers from Sherburn and the surrounding villages will be sharing their work, for free. Stories of hope, poems to ponder, and the odd dastardly deed. So, turn off the telly, come along, and listen to our stories. A warm, witty and welcoming night, that won’t cost you a penny.
